Juergen Teller
Juergen Teller is a German photographer, based in London.
He moved to London in 1986, where he began to work for fashion magazines like The Face and i-D. Since then, he has featured in Vogue, Another,V, Index, W, and Paradis to name a few. He has also shot major campaigns for Comme des Garcons, Marc Jacobs, Stussy, Helmut Lang, Hugo Boss, Yves St Laurent, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Kathermine Hamnett and Blumarine.
He is regarded as one of the most influential contemporary fashion photographers, playing a big part in helping to change the face of fashion photography from the slick and cosmetic perfection of the 1980s, to the raw, imperfect and more direct realism of the grunge era of the 90s.
Teller has exhibited worldwide in solo and group exhibitions, such as 'Click Double Click' at the Haus der Kunst in Munich, 'Street and Studio' at Tate Modern and 'Fashioning Fiction' at the Museum of Modern Art.
