Chardchakaj Waikawee

Chardchakaj Waikawee is a young photographer based in Bangkok Thailand.

He is interested in documenting Thai society, using the cameras Contax G1, Pentax 6x7, Mamiya C330 and Seagull 120 as well as making short films.

In particular, Waikawee is interested in conveying the political corruption he see's in Thailand. Currently, he is working on two short films. One looking at how young people are exploited by the music industry and another at how teenagers who speed on motorcycles at night are being blamed by the government for all the problems in society.

Another example is the Tshirt he recently designed exclusively for DoBeDo as part of the ‘DoBeDo Photographer Series’ Tshirt Subscription.

Waikawee is also Head Teacher of Communication Arts at a university in East Thailand and a photographer in the music and publishing industry. He has just completed his MA in fine arts and now plans to do a PHD in philosophy. He hopes one day to work as a photographer in London.
