Jason Evans

Jason Evans is a photographer and senior lecturer in photography at Newport School of Art, Media and Design in South Wales.

He has created album artwork, editorial content and music videos for musicians such as Fourtet, Radiohead, and Clinic. His early 90s shoot 'Strictly'  is held in the Tate collection in order to document the rise of street style. In his project 'The New Scent' he examines the way in which familiar objects or scenes can be defamiliarised when placed in the context of a photograph. He has had exhibitions at Tate Britain, Tate Modern, the Victoria & Albert Museum and internationally in New York, Brazil and Antwerp.
